Rangers Junior Dance Company

The Rangers Junior Dance Company is the  school's  second pre-professional dance company. As part of the Dance Department's Dance level 2 intermediate advanced dance class and  afterschool program, these students get to perform mostly on campus for dance concerts, dance festivals,  and other campus events and programs. Students, 6th-8th grade, must pre-audition to be apart of the company and have the opportunity to perform in the local  community dance performances, showcases, master classes from professionals, dance festivals, dance competitions and many more. Such performance opportunities include but are not limited to The South Dallas Dance Festival, The North Texas Dance Council's "Dance Planet" at Booker T. Washington for the Performing Arts Magnet, American Dance & Drill Competitions, and so much more!

Junior Dance  Company students show  strong passion, discipline in and outside the classroom, and avid development of their dance technique. This  dance company, like Dance Repertoire, is set to challenge the dancing abilities of our students and evoke characteristics of teamwork, discipline, commitment, and self- motivation, but also to provide a platform for students who seek dance as a future profession. This class and dance company also serves as a prerequisite to be in the  senior company, Dance Repertoire, which is also Dance 3, the Advanced level dance class.
